I first got into rugby when I was quite young, probably 6 years old, I played it for a couple of years, learnt the basic rules then got to that age where you want to do other things with your friends, or couldn’t be bothered. From then I have tried a number of different sports, including athletics, show jumping and field hockey plus many others.
Yesterday we were lucky enough to take part in SUBU’s Freshers Fair. Our stand was extremely popular and we were delighted to meet so many healthy, motivated and like-minded students. The day was a huge success with hundreds of keen individuals signing up to take part in our society events.
When you are extremely busy and struggling to find time for exercising, plan precisely, fit gym sessions in and time will come around and find you, however ridiculous it may sound at first. Let me explain how to hack the theory of finding time for exercise and you can thank me later.
At school and sixth form I was never interested in Health and Fitness; I was always content with my body and always seemed to maintain a healthy weight. A typical day for me was skipping breakfast (because I would get up too late to eat before I left!), eating whatever my mum had packed me for lunch and then tucking into a few too many biscuits when I got home.
